From 1952 until 2009, Gawdy Hall Estates have grown peas for Birds Eye Foods Ltd.
During the first season, 12.14 hectares were cut and delivered to a vining plant near Flixton Hall, the stripped vines were then returned and made into silage.
2009 saw the last season of peas grown on the Estate before Birds Eye moved all production away from East Anglia. The following pictures show part of the 52.64 hectares being harvested at Gawdy Hall.
